1. Executive Summary

A tangible remote-control experience that bridges physical and digital

At Base Japan’s Vibe Coding Mini Hackathon (Aug 31–Sep 7, 2025), we presented a live-streaming concept with a working prototype that combines “tipping × IoT × blockchain.” A viewer’s tip can remotely operate a physical gacha machine sitting on the streamer’s desk. Behind this new live-streaming experience is a platform that integrates stablecoin payments with IoT device control.

Traditionally, tipping has been a one-way act of expressing support with money. We expand the concept from “tipping = support” to “tipping = participation.”

Challenge

In today’s live streaming, tipping largely remains a one-way act from viewer to streamer. The amount appears on screen and the streamer gives thanks — valuable, but the viewer’s participation is limited.

Opportunity

With instant stablecoin payments and IoT control coming together, tipping can evolve from simple support into a participatory experience. Viewers’ actions directly affect the content of the stream, and the results are shared in real time — this interactivity defines the next live-streaming experience.

Outcome

We built a working prototype that combines WebSocket-based real-time control, USDC payments on Base L2, and the x402 protocol. “Nagesen Gacha Live” delivers a simple but novel experience: a tip actually makes the gacha machine move.

By organically connecting these technical elements, we demonstrated a next‑generation entertainment UX. The experience of digital payments directly affecting the physical world hints at new business models for live commerce, event operations, and IoT at large.
